Quickstart: using the AWS EC2 Container Service

I recently came about a huge stash of AWS credits brought by the completion of an EDX course I took earlier this year. I took this affordance to learn how to run my own docker containers using the AWS EC2 Container Service. This service is basically a docker cluster management platform built on top of Amazon's EC2 Service. It uses a proprietary ECS container agent installed in the EC2 instance to communicate with.
For my needs, I'll be using it to host my instance of the Graylog log management platform.

~ After fiddling with it for a good while, I found out that the current container agent does not support exposing UDP ports. Since my use case of Graylog requires the use UDP ports, This experiment will have to be put on hold until this feature is implemented. ~
